A BOND OF EXCELLENCE, INNOVATION & SERVICE TO OTHERS
Georgetown University holds a special place in the heart of BeNeXT Global, symbolizing a profound and enduring relationship. Not only is Georgetown the esteemed host of our Futuro Las Americas Washington DC summit, but it is also the alma mater of two of our founders, Hector H. Lopez, our Board President, and Andrew Hamsher, our Provost and Chief Academic Officer. This connection fosters a kindred spirit between our organizations, particularly with the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
Our participants are privileged to stay at the historic LXR Dormitory Hall, famously housing President William Jefferson Clinton during his student years at Georgetown. The collaboration extends deeply into the academic and administrative fabric of Georgetown, with close ties to friends, administrators, and professors who actively contribute to our program’s success.
A highlight of our partnership is the Mortara Center, formerly the executive office of the late Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. This space, renowned for hosting numerous heads of state and global dignitaries, was graciously shared with our participants by Secretary Albright herself, symbolizing the intimate and impactful nature of our relationship.
While we proudly maintain relationships with other prestigious institutions like NYU, Berkeley, California College of the Arts, UPenn, and many more across the Americas, our bond with Georgetown University is unparalleled. It is a true alliance, embodying a sense of homecoming every time we step onto the Georgetown campus, reflecting our shared mission of innovation, leadership, and global impact via service for others.
